Ten years a structural engineer. Now he builds.

Josh was born in Charlotte and has lived all over the Carolinas. He graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering, then spent ten years working for different structural engineering firms before founding Cadence.

Today he is a licensed general contractor in North and South Carolina. He brings engineering discipline and the drafting table to the job site: attention to detail, clear communication, and a steady habit of solving the problem before it costs you.

Charlie Pelkey

Senior Construction Advisor

A master carpenter. Ten thousand homes.

Charlie started in construction at twenty-three. Across his career he has been involved in the sales, construction, or management of more than ten thousand single and multi-family homes, plus a long catalog of commercial work.

He has served on the Board of Directors for multiple industry corporations as well as the National Association of Home Manufacturers in Washington, D.C. where he was active on the Codes and Standard Committee. His work has been featured in Better Homes & Garden and House Beautiful magazines.
